Product Information Child Chinese Cheongsam Traditional Silk Brocade Pink Dress
A custom made Child Size Chinese Cheongsam Traditional Silk Brocade Light Pink Dress Cheongsam is the traditional dress worn by Chinese women and girls, typified with a high collar, and button or frog closures near the shoulder. This is a child size version of the same dress we offer for adults. Made using silk brocade with graceful plum blossom patterns, it is very soft and comfortable. In Chinese culture, plum blossom is the symbol of noble mind and it is the favorite subject of Chinese artists.
The Chinese hand-made butterfly frog buttons go well with plum blossom patterns. Frog buttons are traditional handicraft and require silked labor to make. Styled with a Mandarin collar and short sleeves, both sides are made with small slits toward the thigh and the length of dress is to knee. An invisible zipper is on the right side, so it is easy for you to wear.
Silk Brocade weaving is a age old tradition here in Asia. It adds a pattern within the silk using metallic threads especially gold and silver. Silk is fine, smooth, durable and strong, so it facilitates the weaves. These qualities make silk the material of choice for brocade weaving.

This lovely silk dress is done in pink, available in eight sizes from a small baby Asian size 1 to teenager size 14. Please note many customers tell us, that these dresses run smaller than US sizes. Here are the measurements for each size. All measurements are taken around the outside of the garment. The Asian size is shown first, the US size is listed within the brackets, please order by Asian size.
Size 1 (12 months): The measurements are as follows, Overall length of dress from collar to hem is 20", chest 22", waist 20", hips 22" and two side slits of 5" in length each.
Size 2 (24 months 2T): The measurements are as follows, Overall length of dress from collar to hem is 22.5", chest 23", waist 21", hips 23", and two side slits of 6" in length each.
Size 4 (36 months 3T): The measurements are as follows, Overall length of dress from collar to hem is 25", chest 24", waist 22", hips 24", and two side slits of 7.5" in length each.
Size 6 (4/6): The measurements are as follows, Overall length of dress from collar to hem is 26", chest 26", waist 24", hips 26", and two side slits of 8.5" in length each.
Size 8 (6/8): The measurements are as follows, Overall length of dress from collar to hem is 28.5", chest 28", waist 26" hips 28" and two side slits of 9.5" in length each.
